Food Works Discovery Day - 22nd February


With kitchen tours and talks from industry experts, previous customers and the Food Works team, if you've been wanting to find out what we're all about, this is your chance!


Our Discovery Day is free to attend and is designed to give businesses and individuals an insight into the facilities and expertise at our state-of-the-art food and drink innovation centre. Hear from industry experts including


You'll get a taste of our reputation for product development, innovation and discovery, and find out how our development kitchens for bakery, dairy and drinks products and fully-equipped trial kitchen can help businesses of any size scale up production, introduce new lines, produce short runs and pilot improvements. In addition, our in-house technical team will be demonstrating equipment and on hand to explain the expert advice and hands-on technical support on offer at the centre.


Specialist sessions will run throughout the day with an optional 1-1 session and tour of our meeting rooms, conference facilities and commercial and trial kitchens after each session. Our coffee shop and business lounge will also be open on the day for people to use.

Food Works phase 2 feasibility study is closing next week!


Thank you to those that have completed this survey which is key to the planning for Food Works phase 2.


If you’ve been thinking of new premises or starting to look at next steps for your business, then your help would be appreciated if you could spare a few minutes to complete a short survey to understand the demand and requirements for food-grade units as part of the potential for Phase 2 at Food WorksSW here in Weston-super-Mare.

We’re working with North Somerset Council and their consultants KGen Ltd, who are carrying out feasibility work to understand the scope of the next phase for the Food and Drink Centre.

Mid Devon Prosperity Programme.


Food and Drink producers in the Mid Devon area may be eligible for funding through Mid Devon Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund with opportunities available through the following themes:


Field to Fork

Grants towards equipment needed to support businesses develop, produce and market local food and drink products and its direct supply to consumers.


Business Growth and Innovation

A grants programme for micro and small businesses and social enterprises to help buy new equipment, improve processes, buy in specialist support to move towards ‘transformational’ change within their business, increase jobs and support de-carbonisation.


The team at Food WorksSW can help with advice on equipment and support to facilitate innovation, research and development to improve production processes, product development and diversification including adding value to products as part of an application.
