Using Sustainability to Strengthen and Grow your Food and Drink Business

  • The Food Works SW Whirlwind Road Weston-super-Mare, England, BS24 8EF United Kingdom (map)

This free event will be held at The Food Works SW, refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to tour The Food Works SW facilities including our development kitchens.

This fast-paced, half day session will give you the tools you need to embrace sustainability as a way to help mitigate current challenges head on including:

  • Protect and increase sales.

  • Fight cost inflation.

  • Attract, engage and retain good staff.

  • Stay competitive and relevant.

Together with other food businesses we’ll work together as we consider increasing your impact on customers, colleagues and community whilst considering the environment around us and how you run your business for good.

We’ll also look at business in the context of buzzwords like Carbon Neutral, Net Zero and ESG, and the role of certification and accreditation options like B-Corp and SEDEX in Sustainability.

The workshop will:

  • Breakdown the topics and jargon.

  • Provide tools to practically build improvement into your business through small group work.

  • Provide a chance to network with like-minded businesses.

  • Provide an opportunity for Q&As with the team.

  • Finish with a tour of Foodworks SW, a modern and purpose-built food and drink development Centre for South West businesses.

The event will be delivered by experts from Maia Growth with significant experience in manufacturing processes and business management including food manufacturing.

This event is open to SME food and drink producers from across the South West of England.

Refreshments will be provided.
