Join us on Thursday 5th March for our next Discovery Day! This is a chance to explore everything we have to offer at The Food WorksSW. Whether you're looking for product development, technical support, or guidance in growing your business, we can support you through every stage—from concept to launch.

Our Discovery Day is free to attend and is an opportunity for individuals to get an insight into the facilities and expertise at our food and drink innovation centre. You will hear from guest speakers, including Salcombe Gin, Firebrand Brewery, Trewithen Dairy, Majic Protein and SDT (Society of Dairy Technology), who are aligned with each speciality kitchen offering industry insight. Food Works’ in-house technical experts, Zoe Plant, Rachel Goff and Beth Winters, will also be exploring each of the kitchen’s equipment and advising on a range of topics, from product labelling to SALSA, during each talk.

You'll get a taste of what can be done in our kitchens from development to trials to scaling-up bakery, dairy and drinks products and fully-equipped trial and commercial kitchens. All of which can help businesses of any size scale up production, introduce new lines, produce short runs and pilot improvements.

We’ll be introducing our new and planned on-site equipment and facilities including a homogeniser in the dairy kitchen, a canning line in the drinks kitchen and upgrades to our bakery kitchen.

In addition, our in-house technical team will be demonstrating equipment and be on hand to explain the expert advice and hands-on technical support on offer at the centre.

A tour of our meeting rooms, conference facilities and commercial kitchen will also be available upon request, as well as one-to-one business support meetings and discussions with members of the team.  

The café and business lounge will be open throughout the day.
