Product Development Kitchens & Test Kitchen

The onsite Business Engagement Centre is home to our four state-of-the-art product development kitchens, available for flexible short term lease by food and drink businesses. The kitchens meet the latest environmental health legislation and will allow businesses of any size, from start-ups to large enterprises to scale-up production, introduce new lines, produce short runs and pilot product improvements.

The development kitchens have been built to food-grade standard and will include standard catering equipment as well as specialist items such as steam ovens, blast chillers, gas flush sealers, flour dough mixers, slicer/cutting machines and L sealers. Prior to use businesses will be provided with a full induction and brief training on the equipment by our onsite New Product Development & Innovation Manager, who can support your development journey whilst using the kitchens.

The Engagement Centre is also home to our Test Kitchen which is perfect for those businesses currently producing at home and looking to take the next step, or start to make larger product runs/batches. Equipment in the test kitchen includes; two free-standing fridges, four electric hobs with electric oven, two under-counter freezers, a dishwasher and food/hand wash facilities.

When leasing kitchen space, businesses have access to communal changing facilities and chilled storage. Flexible leases are available offering half day, full day or longer term leasing options.
